Drone crash repair
A crash rarely breaks just one thing. The arm that snapped on impact is obvious; the hairline stress fracture two ribs over, the gimbal mount knocked a half-degree out of true, the antenna cable pinched inside the shell — those are the failures that ground a drone three flights later. Crash repair starts with a full structural triage, not a parts swap.
We repair crash damage on DJI aircraft — our specialty, with the commonly broken parts stocked on the bench — and on other brands case by case where parts are available: cracked shells, broken arms, bent frames, sheared motor mounts, damaged landing gear and everything the impact shook loose inside.

Some of it you can see. Most of the expensive part you can't. Common findings after a crash:
- Cracked or broken arms, shell splits and separated seams
- Bent or twisted frames that cause drift, vibration or unstable hover
- Sheared or stripped motor mounts and damaged propeller shafts
- Gimbal knocked out of alignment or jammed against its stops
- Internal connectors and ribbon cables loosened by the impact
- Hidden board fractures that show up as intermittent power or sensor errors
How we handle a crash repair
Structural triage
We disassemble to the frame, inspect every arm, mount and seam under magnification, and map all damage — not just what's visible from outside.
Written quote
You get an itemized quote covering everything we found, with our recommendation on what's essential versus optional. Nothing is repaired until you approve it.
Repair and rebuild
We replace or repair damaged structure with correct-fit parts, re-seat every connector the crash disturbed, and rebuild to factory torque specs.
Flight-critical testing
Calibration, bench tests and a hover test. Every crash repair is flight-tested before it ships back.
Turnaround
Turnaround depends on the damage and on parts — replacement parts typically take a few days to reach the bench once ordered, and commonly broken DJI parts are often already in stock. Your quote includes a realistic timeline before you commit.

Crash Repair — common questions
My drone still flies after the crash. Should I bother getting it checked?
Yes. Post-crash failures are often delayed — a stress-fractured arm or a half-seated connector can hold for a few flights and then let go at altitude. A free diagnosis tells you whether it's actually airworthy.
Is a crashed drone worth repairing, or should I replace it?
That's exactly what the free diagnosis answers. We'll quote the repair, and if the numbers don't make sense against replacement, we'll tell you straight. You approve or decline — either way the diagnosis costs nothing.
Can you repair a drone that crashed into water?
Yes, but time matters — corrosion starts within days. Don't power it on, pull the battery, and get it to us quickly. See our water and corrosion repair service for what to do first.
Do you repair drones damaged in a crash that are out of warranty?
Out-of-warranty units are most of what we see. As an independent shop we repair aircraft regardless of warranty status or age, as long as parts are obtainable.
What if you find more damage after I approve the quote?
We stop and contact you before doing anything beyond the approved scope. You'll never get a bill larger than the quote you approved.
