Drone electronics repair
When a drone won't power on, reboots mid-flight, or throws errors no calibration will clear, the problem lives on a board. Most shops answer that with a full board swap at close to replacement-drone cost. We work at component level first — because a 'dead' main board is very often one failed regulator, one cracked solder joint or one corroded connector.
We diagnose and repair power systems, main boards, GPS and compass modules, video transmission systems, sensors and internal wiring — with DJI as our specialty, and other platforms case by case where parts are available.

Board-level problems tend to present in a handful of recognizable ways:
- Drone won't power on, or powers off randomly in flight
- Battery reads full but the aircraft shuts down under load
- GPS won't lock, compass errors that recalibration doesn't fix
- Video feed drops, static, or transmission range collapse
- Sensors erroring out: IMU, vision positioning, obstacle avoidance
- Physical damage: bent pins, burnt components, cracked ports
How we approach board-level repair
Power-path diagnosis
We trace power from the battery contacts through every regulator and rail, and inspect boards under magnification for burnt components, cracked joints and corrosion.
Component-level quote
The quote names the failed component or board and prices the repair at the lowest sensible level — component, module, then board, in that order.
Microsolder and repair
Failed components are replaced with correct-spec parts, damaged traces repaired, connectors and ports rebuilt or replaced.
Full-system verification
Repaired boards go back into the aircraft for complete functional testing — power, sensors, GPS, video link — plus a test flight before return.
Turnaround
Electronics faults take longer to diagnose than to fix, and we don't guess. Your quote names the failed component and includes a realistic timeline for the repair.

Electronics Repair — common questions
My drone is completely dead. Is it worth diagnosing?
Usually yes. Completely dead most often means a failure in the power path — a fuse, regulator or battery connector — which is among the cheaper electronics repairs. The diagnosis is free, so finding out costs nothing.
Can you fix a board, or do you just replace boards?
We repair at component level where the fault allows: replacing regulators and MOSFETs, reflowing cracked joints, rebuilding connectors and repairing traces. Board replacement is the fallback, not the default.
My GPS won't get a lock anymore. Is that repairable?
Often. GPS failures split between the module itself, its antenna and cable, and interference from other damage. Each is repairable; the diagnosis tells us which you have.
Is my data safe during a board repair?
We don't need your accounts, and any onboard flight logs and media stay on the aircraft. Remove your memory card before shipping if you prefer — the repair doesn't need it.
The drone got wet before it died. Does that change things?
