Gimbal and camera repair
The gimbal is the most delicate assembly on the aircraft and usually the first casualty of a hard landing. It's also the one that ends careers-worth of footage when it fails mid-job: a tilted horizon on a real estate shoot, jello in an inspection video, a camera that won't hold focus on the one pass that mattered.
We repair the full gimbal and camera stack — motors, ribbon cables, dampers, mounts, sensors and lenses — and calibrate to spec, so the footage coming back is the footage you're paid to deliver.

Gimbal problems tend to be specific and diagnosable. The usual suspects:
- Gimbal shakes, vibrates or twitches in flight ("jello" footage)
- Horizon sits tilted and calibration won't hold
- Gimbal motor overload errors on startup, or the gimbal hangs limp
- Camera won't focus, shows artifacts, or the feed drops out
- Grinding or clicking from the gimbal during startup self-check
- Torn or pinched ribbon cable after a crash or hard landing

Gimbal & Camera Repair — common questions
My footage has 'jello' or vibration. Is that the gimbal?
Sometimes — but it can also be unbalanced props, a bent motor shaft or loose gimbal dampers. That's why we diagnose the whole vibration path rather than assuming. The diagnosis is free either way.
Can a tilted horizon be fixed with calibration alone?
If calibration doesn't hold, the cause is usually mechanical — a bent bracket, worn dampers or crash-shifted mounts. We fix the mechanical cause first; calibration then holds the way it should.
Do you replace the whole gimbal or repair it?
Whichever is genuinely cheaper for you long-term. Many 'dead' gimbals are one motor or one ribbon cable. Where a full assembly is the right call, the quote will show it and say why.
My gimbal shows a motor overload error at startup. Bad motor?
That error means the gimbal can't move freely — the cause ranges from a jammed axis or crash debris to a genuinely failed motor or driver. It's one of the most common faults we see, and usually very fixable.
